Forest School in Term 3
Welcome back to Term 3 in Forest School! It has certainly been a wet and windy start to 2020! With this in mind, please ensure your child has suitable clothing to wear for their Forest School session – a warm and waterproof coat, hat, gloves etc. However, we now have a good supply of wellington boots and waterproof trousers and jackets for the children to wear should the need arise. Last term the children enjoyed making a range of Christmas decorations using natural resources. This term the children will be busy with a variety of activities such as making clay animals, finding out how to measure the age of trees, looking at different materials and learning fire safety- weather permitting! The only type of weather that we really need to be concerned about is high winds as this can damage trees, making the site dangerous and unsafe.
It would be great to see some parents in the Forest too! If you are interested in what we do and would like to come and see, please let me know via the school office and I will arrange a visit. Until then, a very happy and healthy 2020!! Mrs Champ
